What can our students do for you? They will provide you with recommendations and alternatives to help you reach your goals. Let the students come up with creative recommendations and a professional plan!

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the partnership. However, these deliverables must be discussed and agreed upon prior to the start of the work period.

Project examples

Beginning in July students in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.

Project examples that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:

- Budgeting, personal taxation principles

- Assessment of the use and cost of credit

- Recommending investment strategies, retirement planning, estate planning, real estate and mortgages

- Recommending the potential use of property and life insurance

- Recommendations on simple interest, compound interest, annuities, amortization, sinking funds, statistical methods

Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

  • Q1 - Checkbox
    Provide relevant information/data as needed for the project.
  • Q2 - Checkbox
    Provide an opportunity for students to present their work and receive feedback.
  • Q3 - Checkbox
    Be available for at least 2 follow-up meetings with the students to monitor progress, clarify doubts, and answer questions.
  • Q4 - Checkbox
    Provide a dedicated contact person who is available for weekly/bi-weekly drop-ins to address students’ questions as well as periodic messages over the duration of the project.
  • Q5 - Checkbox
    Be available for a quick phone/virtual call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.
