Who Are We?

The J Healthcare Initiative is a nonprofit tackling the toxic drug crisis by centering the healthcare choices of drug users. The organization combines collaborative experiential learning with data-driven insights to close the gap between evidence-based policy and real-world implementation.

About the Project

The J Healthcare Initiative seeks to expand its University Chapter Program by creating a comprehensive recruitment and onboarding toolkit for new University Chapter Directors. The goal is to streamline the process of establishing new chapters at universities, particularly those without existing chapters. This project involves researching effective student engagement strategies and campus health initiatives to ensure the toolkit is both relevant and impactful. By interviewing current Chapter Directors, the team will identify best practices and challenges faced in the field. The project aims to equip new student leaders with the necessary resources to successfully launch and manage university chapters, thereby enhancing the overall reach and impact of The J Healthcare Initiative.

What will you do

- Research and identify effective student engagement strategies.

- Conduct interviews with current Chapter Directors to gather insights.

- Draft an outreach plan for universities without existing chapters.

Deliverables

The project will result in a comprehensive toolkit designed to assist new University Chapter Directors in establishing and managing chapters effectively. Deliverables include a detailed outreach plan targeting universities without current chapters, and a suite of onboarding resources such as checklists, guides, and presentation decks. These materials will provide new student leaders with the tools they need to engage effectively with their campus communities and promote health initiatives.
